Many
of those who live in the United Kingdom, will
watch “ Religious Programmes” such as
the BBC ‘s Sunday Afternoon Stable Songs
of Praise, and imagine that’s what Church is like, many of my fellow believers
know that Church is more than singing more traditional hymns and more up to
date Christian songs, it was through
watching an episode of Songs of
Praise I discovered The Rend Collective.
I
was watching an episode of Songs of Praise from Leeds, and the presenter
Pam Rhodes mentioned that the next song would combine a George Harrison classic
combined with a well known hymn, the female vocalist lead the congregation , I was
saddened to hear George Harrison’s song “ My Sweet Lord” which was written for his false god “demon” the Hindu Krishna, I was disappointed to see Christians, to sing a song that was dedicated to a false god, and that it was combined in a medley with a
well known and loved hymn.
George
Harrison’s song “ My sweet lord” was never
written about Jesus, and it promotes a religious pluralism, that says that all
religions/faiths/creeds are equal, we
know that the true Christian faith isn’t part of a religious plethora and Syncretism.
I was troubled to read that one day, Christians would recognise Muslims as fellow
believers in the same way as Christians from Catholic and Protestant now see
each other as fellow Christians. It's like what I would call the so-called spiritually of green belt!

Jesus
Comforts His Disciples
14
“Do not let your heart be troubled; [a]believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In
My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have
told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there
you may be also. 4 And you know the way where I am going.” 5 Thomas *said to
Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and
the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Oneness
with the Father
7
If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know
Him, and have seen Him.”
8
Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9
Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to
know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show
us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father
is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but
the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father
and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will
do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be
glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
15
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Role
of the Spirit
16
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [b]Helper, that He may be
with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He
abides with you and will be in you.
18
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 [c]After a little
while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you
will live also. 20 In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in
Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who
loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him
and will disclose Myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord,
what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to
the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will
keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our
abode with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word
which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
25
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26 But the Helper,
the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all
things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave
with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do
not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. 28 You heard that I said
to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have
rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 Now I
have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. 30 I
will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he
has nothing in Me; 31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father,
[d]I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here.
The
Bible is very, very clear, there is only one person, who died as God’s spotless
and unblemished lamb, who was without Sin, but came to a sinful world to die in the
place of sinful man, Our Lord
Jesus, he died in our place, he was resurrected from the tomb, having defeated satan and his demons, he ascended
into heaven, sent the Holy Spirit to baptise us, and he rules in Heaven and he
will return for his victorious church
Acts
4: 12 says
New

Peter
and John Arrested
1As they were speaking to the people, the
priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to them,
2being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming
in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3And they laid hands on them and put
them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening. 4But many of those
who had heard the message believed; and the number of the men came to be about
five thousand.
5On the next day, their rulers and elders
and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem; 6and Annas the high priest was
there, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly
descent. 7When they had placed them in the center, they began to inquire, “By
what power, or in what name, have you done this?” 8Then Peter, filled with the
Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people, 9if we are on
trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made
well, 10let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by
the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from
the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 11“He is
the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF
CORNER stone. 12“And there is
salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been
given among men by which we must be saved.”

A
Call to Prayer
1First of all, then, I urge that
entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all
men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil
and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in
the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to
the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and one mediator also
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave Himself as a ransom for
all, the testimony given at the proper time. 7For this I was appointed a
preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher
of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8Therefore I want the men in every place
to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.
